Few Outwardly Focused Ministries
Few Outwardly Focused Ministries
By David Cox
Matt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
This characteristic is a clear signpost that the church has lost its vision and mission. God has left us here, but saved us for the specific purpose of reaching the lost with the same salvation that we have. Moreover, we are to be examples of love, and the character of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
When these things cease to be a central focus of our life, then we are dying or dead.
These thoughts are taken from a post “7 Deadly sins of a Dying Church“.
